Enejison’s unique approach and visual style addresses the pollution in our environment. The piece depicts what can be seen as oil pollution in a riverine area where houses a made of stilts. The play of colours represents some sort of chemical reactions by the crude oil over water which renders both fauna and flora unusable by local inhabitants. This is a typical view or picture of the Niger Delta and its legendary oil pollution as a result of neglect of broken down pipelines and vandalisation. Such pollution has been known to impact heavily on the mortality rate of women and children in this region.
