Several Series
This series of painting show a different aspect of the city with a focus on the less affluent districts – traders, children playing in the street and commuters. There are no articulated gardens or parks available for this class of people. The prosperous districts tell a different story even though and at times, prosperity and affluence dwell side-by-side. Lagos is a city full of paradoxes and contradictions. This is seen in the social life of the inhabitants, the architecture and the people.
