This painting portrays the less affluent part of the city – the filthy canal, the endless sea of slums. A story, that needs to be told.  The “other side of Lagos” here is Makako, a community that has a lot of stories seeking revelation.  Here people live on the margins of the society forgotten and left in despair.  This painting is another petition to draw attention to the plight and condition of the people and the watery environment.
