An elevated perspective of Makoko in the neighbourhood of the University of Lagos, with floating logs in the foreground and the famous institution nowhere in sight. This painting is a rethink – you do not have to focus on the subject matter to make your point. The Makako community and its lumbering business is one of the common sights in Lagos and across the lengthy third mainland bridge.  The visual imagery has become one of the most documented landscapes and romanticized visual iconography in the history of Lagos.
