Rain and the element – water, is a recurrent theme in Demola’s oeuvre. Often times, minimal is his use of pigments as seen in some of his paintings as an approach in exploring the mood of the environment with somber and warm colours.  This painting shows a wet road trotted on by pedestrians, the local tricycle (keke) and a bicycle with a passenger (the Okada).  These are alternative and quick modes of transportation in major Nigerian cities when movement and the journey homeward become difficult after the rains.
