The danfo and molue buses and their conductors are major contributors to this drama, peotry, emissions and verve that characterize Lagos as a city of paradoxes.  Umeh’s painting shows Lagosians rushing to enter the buses – a typical and impulsive act akin the city’s residents, as a conductor in the foreground is seen calling out the destinations to the frenzied and agitated commuters.
