Osifeso Ezekiel

Osifeso Ezekiel hails from Ogun state. He was born on the 15th of August, 1992 in Ikeja, Lagos. He had his secondary Education in Command Day Secondary School, Oshodi, Lagos (2002-2008). He then proceeded to the University of Lagos where he studied Visual Arts in the Department of Creative Arts, with specialization in painting (2009-2013/14). He also had his SIWES training at the Universal Studios of Arts under the tutelage of prolific Nigerian Artists like Mr Abiodun Olaku, Joshua Nmesirionye, Ejoh Wallace, to mention a few. There he was trained in painting and draughtsmanship. He afterwards had his National Youth Service in Benue state (2014-2015) at Benue State Council for Arts and Culture.

 

He draws inspiration from Sam Ebohon and Edosa Oguigo, Bolaji Ogunwo, drawings of Robert Liberace, Guy Denning and Scott Burdick. His love for figures is very evident in his works.

He participated in the University of Lagos final year students’ exhibition (2014), Expression sunrise (2013) at Oriental Hotel and October Rain 2015 edition, Affordable Arts show, mydrim gallery (2016), The Conversation 2016, Presidential Villa, Abuja (courtesy Rele gallery), Rele Young Contemporary 2017, Generations, Mydrim Gallery 2017.

He is presently practising at the Universal Studios of Arts.
