Kemi Akin-Nibosun is a Nigerian visual artist living and working in Northern Nigeria. Her works span photography, painting and design. For her, art is the expression of possible solutions to problems of a society in a conceptual and practical way. Through Her work, she reflects her experiences as an individual.
The 2013 Award winner of Life in My City ‘Best photography’ category and 2014 ‘Best Photograph’ category
She has attended several master classes on photography facilitated by Akinbode Akinbiyi, the 2016 Goethe Award recipient, and The Nlele Institute as well as photographic exchange programmes. A 2011 Invisible Borders participant, Kemi has participated in several group exhibitions and organised her solo exhibition which toured 3 Nigerian states.
A graduate of Industrial Design from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; she also holds an advanced level diploma in ‘photography and art’ as well as ‘mathematics and statistics’ from Barking Abbey Sixth Form, London, England.
