Godwin Samuel Kevin was born in 1990 and from Delta State in the South of Nigeria. He is a painter who is vast and proficient in the use of various art medium to express his ideas and thoughts. Godwin is a highly skilled creative thinker and painter. He is a portrait artist and loves to express himself more by painting human figures relatively on how he feels about his subjects and also by taking technical measure creating aesthetic through naturalism. The themes of his paintings are varied from different expressions of mood and reality because he tends to capture the gesture of his model as it were without losing the feel of realism.

“Many stories are told in my paintings by using different shades of hues mostly brightly rendered without losing its intensity. The different features, forms gestures and every part of the face fascinates me a lot and do make me want to paint and paint more. More so, I try not to focus my expression on figure painting alone. Therefore, I depict some other pieces in landscape painting using palette knife (impasto) and also working on a textured canvas”.

“Practically, I don’t limit myself to a major style of painting because apart from panting portraiture, I love to express myself by experimenting with other styles of painting. The various medium I use include; Oil on canvas, Acrylic on canvas, Pastel on canvas and paper, Pencil and charcoal on canvas and paper”
