Gbenga Offo attended Maryland Comprehensive High School and Zumratu Islamiha Secondary School. He then trained at Yaba College of Technology as a Graphic Designer. In 1984, he left the college with the best Art student award at graduation. Gbenga took a detour into Advertising at Lintas and Insight Communications (1986 -1996), spending more than a decade in the industry. During this period, he continued to work on his paintings and hence broadened his the scope and vision.

Upon resignation from his paid job, Gbenga devoted his time and energy to painting.  The result of which is a unique build of works that has manifested in several solo and group exhibitions locally and internationally.Gbenga’s paintings are in public and corporate collections like the First Consultant Hospital, Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Presidential Lounge Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Afrinvest Lagos, Cashcraft Lagos, Sadiq Oil Lagos, Cactus Lagos and other numerous private collections.

He also holds a place at Mansard Insurance for commissioned projects. Gbenga is a member of the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA) and Guild of Professional Fine Artists (GFA). Gbenga lives and works in Lagos as a practicing studio artist.
