Esther Luntadila started drawing when she was 7 or 8. At first, she was drawing because her brother was drawing all the time and she wanted to copy everything he did. She started taking traditional art seriously her junior year of high school. With a lot of practice, she started making digital art in 2015. The subjects in her artwork are often black women because she didn’t see beautiful illustrations of women that looked like her or her sisters in art history books. She draws a lot of black women because one day (hopefully) a young black girl like her could be able to see portraits and illustrations of girls that look like her.
