Oma means “body” in Urhobo language in Delta state. It depicts the external beauty in a variety of forms for aesthetic appeal. This painting connotes that the female beauty does not lie in the external forms only, it involves the inner person (character and behaviour) and the healthiness of that attractive body. Therefore, the body without proper medical check-up for a healthy well-being might lose it physical and moral beauty. It is meant to encourage all viewers of this painting to regularly attend to medical needs for a beautiful and healthy body. This is necessary because early detection of symptoms that could lead to deadly and harmful illness can be prevented. Then one can really be considered as beautiful.
