Apooyin’s style of painting is realism.  This painting has almost all the elements, which constitutes the natural state of “real live” landscape scenery – a muddy untarred village road, houses with rusted corrugated roofs and electric poles.  This scenery is common in Nigeria both in the cities and also in the rural communities where the roads come under pressure of heavy vehicular movements, mostly carrying foodstuff and livestock to and from the hinterlands.  Apooyin gives a vivid representation government negligence of road infrastructure in the country.
