Imoesi explores the cityscape and the spatial arrangement of elements within it.  The painting reflects man’s cohabitation with his environment. A typical street is seen with broken down vendor stalls, bungalows with rusted roof sheets and electric poles as the dominant features/elements.  On the right side is the effect of floodwater on the edge of the tarmac, which is receding inwards as the element (water) erodes the carriageway.  Road infrastructure is mostly impacted on negatively as a result of the use of inferior materials for construction, man’s overbearing daily activities as road users and negligence by the authorities.
