Two Faces

Joe takes a look at identity and the face. The fact of whom and what a person is, is always hidden in the face. Here the artist uses a combination of subdued and cold colours to express character, emotion and history of a conjoint couple. This is an expressionist foray by the artist and he uses some form of distortion to question transient outer beauty in connection to the subject matter of human relationships. As usual, Joe deploys his central box window as a portal into this investigation.
