A lone canoe and its paddler forage through water lilies. A beautiful rendition of poetry in green and specks of pink colours. This painting is poetic and reminds one of the rhymes in children’s book. A boy left alone in the swamp to fend for himself – “sings an ode” to some invisible beings. A whistling rhyme can be perceived from the environment even without it been heard.  The visual transliteration evokes so much emotion, of melancholia. The presence of a topless kid, water lilies and pink adds a folklore essence to this piece.
