Iya Ruka

Iya Ruka is a Yoruba word for “Ruka’s Mother”. The city of Ibadan like many other cities in southwestern Nigeria have varieties of local canteens and cafeterias. The aroma from Iya Ruka’s kitchen always make people of different age and sizes queue in line to satisfy their hunger. It also talks about the struggles African mothers go through to see their children become something worthwhile in the community.
