Iya Oni Boli – a Yoruba term is translated as the Woman that sells roasted plantain. This artwork describes the harsh conditions mothers go through to raise their children. The heat from the charcoal she use in roasting the plantain, the sun, noise, air pollution and risk of unprecedented environmental hazard all had to be endured by her so as to make that tasty plantain people buy.
