“Face of the past” comes from my most recent exhibition project, called “The Victim and The Attacker”. A story that stems from my understanding of Ibadan’s involvement in the slave trade and how black people played a part in the imprisonment of their own people.

Using that story to create a fictional character who worked his way up as a slave to freedom, only to be thrown off the boat by the slaves he was trying to save from a plantation in the Caribbean.
