Eko Oni Baje

Seye’s painting shows mass and energy in a flurry of yellow colours, which represents the “danfo” and the “molue” buses. In betwixt narrow spaces, people can be seen moving with gust, meandering and negotiating their spaces either to enter the buses or find ways to escape the chaotic rush. This is a view of Lagos that is very recognizable either in the real live or in any form of artistic representations. Places of divergence, convergence and intersections like Oshodi, Obalende and Mile 2 attests to this uncommon mass movement of vehicle and people, an indication of abundant human resources, a providential bequest to the country.
