Chinenye Godsproperty John started photography in April 2010 after a long spell in Advertising. Being familiar with the tool at work, he decided to explore the medium as a way of expressing his ideas. By measured degree, he has continued to train himself to focus more on conceptual photography and to critically navigate the changing horizon of post-modernist photography.

He has been able to infuse his photography ideas into his work at the agency as an art director. Godsproperty’s work addresses social and environmental issues and often refers to himself as a “storyteller” because he tells stories through situations around him.

Godsproperty(GP) has exhibited severally within the country and overseas with his new series “Aspiration” recently exhibited at the Art21 Lagos in 2015. He was also part of the Lagos Photo Festival in 2011 and 2012. He participated in the Masterclass – Documentary Dissonances, organized by the Goethe Institut Nigeria and Nlele Institute Lagos in 2014.
